Embracing the life God wants

This morning, I had the distinct privilege to share my message & my music at the Greater St. Paul Prayer Breakfast. Talk about embracing the life God wants for me! A year ago, I would have laughed at the notion of singing my own songs. Now, it’s become second-nature.
My being selected to sing at this event happened in a rather peculiar way – peculiar, of course only to me – not God. It was his doing that I found myself in the office of the Chairperson, Sharon Murphy early this year. I had gone there, not to talk about the Prayer Breakfast, but her business and how we (we, meaning Intentional Serenity’s team) could help her polish her marketing materials. In that meeting, we discussed this new anointing on my life and how I was focusing on music. At her request, I sang a few songs and she asked me right then and there to perform at the Prayer Breakfast.
I’m grateful to have been at an event dedicated to sharing the good news of Jesus Christ and praying for our leaders and this country. These events are beneficial, sure, but I pray that we don’t leave these discussions of faith to that room. We are blessed in this country with the freedom to be able to stand up for our convictions and our God – a God who created us and loved us enough to put on flesh and die for us. That’s worth talking about.
May this day be one where you pray without ceasing and turn to God for answers. He’s waiting to hear from you. I look forward to see how He shows up each and every day in the everyday blessings and the big shining moments.
