TIME for change
Incredibly, Fall is now here in all its splendor – here in Minnesota and neighboring Wisconsin, we get to enjoy the dramatic beauty on display in the changing leaves. Before too long, we’ll be planning our holiday get-togethers and decorating our homes to reflect the change in seasons.
Autumn is a wonderful reminder of the beauty that lies within and the change that can take place under the right circumstances. Leaves change so that trees may conserve energy & water. They drop their red & yellow ornaments, to rest & replenish during the harsh winter.
And, so what a perfect time to reflect on what we need to shed – relationships that don’t fill us up, old attitudes or beliefs about our appearance or abilities, or maybe it’s a habit we are having a hard time shaking loose. Whatever it is, take a deep breath and picture that which is still clinging to you. Truly see how it has affected you, slowly changing you in the process. Now, exhale and release it to God – imagine it floating gently to the ground. Know that you are free to replenish your spirit with that which colors your life with joy and passion. In time, you too will sprout new ideas, dreams, and ways of thinking and being. Ahh . . . change feels good.
