SONGS – Take My Life

The impetus for this song came when I read “The Fellowship of the Unashamed.” This oath-of-sorts was reprinted in one of my favorite books, “Leap of Faith” by Ellie Lofaro.

We should all be so bold to know what we stand for and to not back down, even to the point of death. I love the conviction and in-your-faceness of it.

I thought a great chorus – a counterpoint for the bold verses – would be portions of the classic hymn “Take My Life and Let it Be.”

My life had completely changed – I’d given my life to God in a very direct way – more boldly than I ever had before.

When God takes your life, there’s no telling what He’ll do with it, if you let Him have control.
