glimpses of God
It’s cool when you get a glimpse of how God works.
I think I got that privilege tonight.
I’ve had a song in my head and on my heart for over a month. I’ve been playing with it, editing it and even had my daughter playing it on the piano. I have a few in the works, but this is the one I keep coming back to.
I’ve been sick this week, so haven’t had too much music time. Tonight, however, that song popped back in my head, after I got my boys to sleep. I was sitting here thinking of the Hope for Haiti Now event on TV that I caught a few performances of earlier. I decided to sing my song through, my eyes closed and my raspy, not yet-better voice delicately let out the words.
Half way through the chorus, my eyes popped open and it hit me – Haiti – Haiti – that song was meant for Haiti. I wrote it long before the earth ever shook, but God settled it into my heart knowing later I’d be able to sing of hope, love, grace and of Heaven through that song.
I’m so excited, because He also choreographed me being able to go to Nashville in a week and a half to work on music. I get a few days with my co-writer & Producer, Carl Herrgesell. I can’t wait to share the song and see what beautiful gifts he can bring to it.
I’m grateful for little glimpses of Glory – for getting to be in that place where I feel God speaking to me and moving me to do something.
I’ll share more later. God be praised!
